The outpatient of Liver Disease Infection Department of Zhejiang Hospital was established in 2018, with liver disease clinic, fever clinic and intestinal clinic. Currently, there are 7 specialty physicians (including two of senior titles, 3 of intermediate titles and 2 of junior titles). As an internal medicine planning and training base, the discipline provides guidance for regular training doctors to rotate and for the doctors in further study. In addition, the Department also carries out teaching, practice and internship for the Department of Preventive Medicine of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The physicians from the Department have published more than 30 academic papers, including 18 SCI papers. The Department has presided over and participated many national-level and provincial-level tasks and projects, and have participated many multicenter clinical drug studies.

After establishment of the discipline, the ward will be established at Sandun Hospital, (20 beds will be open at the beginning), at the same time, the infectious disease department will add a chronic hepatitis B cure clinic. The main academic research direction of Infectious Diseases Department is immune research of liver disease and heterogeneous research of inflammatory response syndrome. The diseases treated including various types of viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, liver cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and other liver diseases; sepsis, endocarditis, abdominal infection, urinary tract infection, urinary tract infection, biliary tract infection, intracranial infection, lung infection and other parts of the body infectious diseases; cat claw disease, brucellosis, epidemic hemorrhagic fever, new Bunya virus and other animal-origin infectious diseases, fever, jaundice and immune suppression patients caused by various drug-resistant bacteria. The department routinely carries out Fibroscan (non-invasive liver transient elasticity detector) examination and liver biopsy guided by B ultrasound.

In future, relying on the platform of Zhejiang Hospital and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the discipline will continue to explore and forge ahead in clinical practice, scientific research, teaching and talent training.
