[Academic Status]

The Department is the first national specialist standardization training base (internal medicine geriatric medicine), national clinical drug test base (geriatric medicine), the first national geriatrics clinical nutrition demonstration base, Zhejiang medical innovation discipline (elderly aging medicine) construction unit, Zhejiang province and Zhejiang geriatric medicine key disciplines (combining traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine geriatric medicine) construction department.

Based on the new ideas of the development of modern geriatrics, the department has taken the lead in independently developing intelligent geriatric comprehensive evaluation series software, leading the province to establish the geriatric comprehensive evaluation cooperation network system in Zhejiang Province, and carry out the research on the new diagnosis and treatment of geriatric diseases such as multidisciplinary team diagnosis and treatment of geriatric diseases, and achieved fruitful results. The Department is adhering to the "care for old age, healthy old age" tenet, break the traditional geriatric medicine diagnosis and treatment of single organs or system diseases, both elderly chronic disease management and function maintenance, with elderly comprehensive assessment as a tool, elderly multidisciplinary team diagnosis and treatment as a means, to maintain and improve the elderly quality of life as the goal, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients.

Currently, there are 40 medical staff in the department, including 8 with senior professional titles and 12 with master's degree or above. The backbone members of the department have been assigned to Europe, America and Asia Pacific for many times, and established long-term cooperative relationship with the international top geriatric department. The department has presided over the national key RESEARCH and development plan subprojects, provincial and ministerial-level, bureau-level scientific research projects, and participated in the national “12^th Five-Year” research projects, national industry fund and other scientific research projects. More than 100 papers have been published on domestic and foreign core journals, among which more than 30 are included in SCI.

[Technical Advantages]  

The Department has taken the lead in carrying out the research on the comprehensive evaluation of the elderly and the joint diagnosis and treatment of geriatric syndrome in China. and is the first author of the expert consensus of the application of geriatric comprehensive evaluation technology and the recommendation standard of setting in the geriatric comprehensive evaluation room in China.

[Job Descriptions]

The Geriatric Department is a multidisciplinary ward composed of multidisciplinary teams of cardiovascular, endocrine, digestive, and mental health, featuring comprehensive assessment of the elderly and diagnosis and treatment of geriatric syndrome. Since its establishment, it has always been in close academic contact and exchanges with geriatric departments at home and abroad.At present, it is mainly committed to the diagnosis and treatment of geriatric chronic and geriatric syndrome. Currently, there are 40 medical staff at the Department, including 8 with senior professional titles and 12 with master’s degree or above. The department has been committed to the comprehensive assessment of the elderly as the entry point, with the multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and collaborative treatment of diseases as the means, aiming at early diagnosis of various geriatric diseases, timely treatment, do a good job in the primary and secondary prevention of diseases, to formulate and start the comprehensive health plan for the elderly, improve the function of various organs, maximize the quality of life of the elderly, extend the life of the elderly patients as the ultimate goal.

Associate chief physician, master degree. Deputy Director of Geriatric Department, Zhejiang Hospital. Graduated from Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2000, majoring in Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in 2010, and received a master’s degree in endocrinology from Zhejiang University in 2015. Member of Geriatrics Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Female Medical Physicians. She went to the Old Age Medical Center of Taiwan Veterans General Hospital in 2017 for further study. She has been engaged in the clinical work of geriatric syndrome for a long time, specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of geriatric chronic diseases, comprehensive evaluation and intervention of aging.He has accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases in the elderly, especially in the elderly, with endocrine diseases such as diabetes, abnormal thyroid function diseases and hyperuricemia. Presided over and participated in a number of provincial and ministerial and bureau level scientific research projects, published more than 10 papers, 2 included in SCI.
