The Nephrology Department of Zhejiang Hospital is an earlier independent kidney disease discipline established in Zhejiang Province, and after more than 30 years of construction, it has become a kidney disease diagnosis and treatment center integrating clinical medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. The scopes of diagnosis and treatment covers various types of primary nephritis, secondary nephropathy, genetic nephropathy, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, renal tubular interstitial disease, acute and chronic renal failure and urinary tract infection, and also considers the internal treatment of kidney allotransplantation. Blood-dialysis treatments such as hemodialysis, hemofiltration, hemodialysis filtration, blood perfusion, plasma exchange, continuous renal replacement therapy and peritoneal dialysis are carried out regularly. The ultrasound-guided percutaneous renal puncture biopsy, laparoscopic peritoneal dialysis catheter implantation, autologous vascular and artificial vascular arteriovenous angioplasty, percutaneous percutaneous angioplasty and stent stenting for the treatment of hemodialysis vascular access complications have reached the leading level in the province and the advanced level in China. The medicine, teaching and research are developed simultaneously, the department is undertaking the theoretical and clinical teaching task for Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is conducting the standardized training of resident doctors and the training of advanced doctors.
