Brief Introduction to the Department: The ECG Department of Zhejiang Hospital has a history of 60 years, currently, there are 1 associate chief physician, five attending doctors, one chief nurse and four resident physicians at the Department.

Holter electrocardiogram and ambulatory blood pressure examination are relatively well-known in China. It is one of the earliest hospitals in China, and it is the first in East China.

The ECG Department currently has the American GE ECG network information system, which transmits the electrocardiogram room of each ward, the building clinic, the emergency department, the hospital branch and the electrocardiogram machine of each rewarranty point outside the hospital to the ECG room diagnosis center by wired or wireless ECG signals. After the electrocardiogram room, the electrocardiogram waveform and report to the doctor, so as to realize the digitalization, automation and standardization of report management. 24-hour heart rate variation, sinus rhythm concussion, T wave electric alternating analysis software.

Clinical significance of 24-h ambulatory BP monitoring

Usually people measure blood pressure, always in a quiet state after a short rest, take the doctor’s designated posture and measure, so that the measured blood pressure has 2 problems：

①Some people affect the measurement results due to a nervous mood or emotional excitement, In particular, some people with hypertension or critical hypertension affect their blood pressure out of concern about the condition, resulting in high readings;

②One measurement could only represent the blood pressure at the time and now, and not the trend of blood pressure throughout the day.

24-H ambulatory blood pressure monitoring has overcome the foregoing shortcomings and then a new instrument is invented, which is portable and intelligent, it not only measures the blood pressure value, but also draws the circadian change rhythm of blood pressure. Then the test person can leave the hospital (clinic), move freely, and return to the daily living environment. The instrument automatically measures the blood pressure according to the rules set by the doctor in advance,  and establish the appropriate BP monitoring frequency (times per hour) and time course (hours) in order to properly determine the mean 24-H BP values. The ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and examination of our department is the first instrument introduced by the United States in the province, which is accurate and reliable.
