He started work in August 1993 and once served as Assistant to the Director of Ningbo Health Bureau, Zhejiang Province, Executive Vice President of Sanmen Bay Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the First Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; once served as Deputy Director, Director, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Medical Department of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Zhejiang Hospital. He has been engaged in the clinical practice of urology for more than 30 years, and specializes in the surgical treatment of complex genitourinary tumors and the diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction, infertility and delayed hypogonadism in males, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal urinary continence, minimally invasive treatment of urinary tumors and the diagnosis and treatment of elderly urinary tumors. It has successively undertaken National Key R&D Program, nationally and provincially co-founded major projects, provincial major science and technology projects in Lingyan Program, key projects of Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc. As an associate editor-in-chief, he led the team to compile the Caring for Older Adults with Malignant Tumors - CACA Guidelines for Holistic Integrative Management of Cancer of China.

In February 2020, he led his team to support Wuhan and served as the temporary secretary of the Party branch.
