In order to ensure the smooth development of China's hospital information construction work with electronic medical records as the core, and gradually establish a system to evaluate and continuously improve the application level of electronic medical record system suitable for China's national conditions, the National Health and Wellness Commission organized a graded evaluation of the application level of electronic medical record system to comprehensively evaluate the current stage of each medical institution The evaluation of the level of application of electronic medical record system is conducted by the National Health and Welfare Commission to comprehensively assess the level of application of electronic medical record system reached by each medical institution at the present stage, so that medical institutions can clarify the functions that should be achieved at each stage of development of electronic medical record system, provide guidelines for the development of electronic medical record system construction for each medical institution, and guide medical institutions to develop electronic medical record system in a scientific and reasonable manner.

Taking the rating of the functional application level of the electronic medical record system as a grasp, with the goal of better safeguarding medical quality and safety and continuously optimizing the hospital information system with the electronic medical record as the core, our hospital launched the five-level electronic medical record review project in 2019. The leadership of the hospital attaches great importance to the project and has set up a project leadership group with clear authority and responsibility. The project team composed of the medical department, information department, nursing department, pharmacy department, and the main clinical departments for evaluation cooperates with each other and divides the work into departments and responsibilities according to the evaluation standards. The expert group evaluated the effectiveness of our hospital's electronic medical record informatization construction by listening to reports, reviewing materials, on-site inquiries, system operation demonstrations, field visits and expert Q&A, focusing on the key aspects of medical business processes, medical safety control, the actual use of electronic medical records and other functions, and randomly checking the relevant data. After comprehensive evaluation, the expert group passed the level five evaluation of our hospital's electronic medical record system application level grading and gave full affirmation to the effectiveness of our hospital's informatization construction.
