【Decisive Battle on Poverty Alleviation】 Put-in-place of Targeted Poverty Alleviation——Forge Hetian Township into A High Quality Tea Core Production Area

Tea industry is a traditional competitive industry of Kaihua County, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and it’s also one of the leading industries of Hetian Township in Kaihua County, the supporting object of our hospital for poverty alleviation. The tea planting area in Hetian Township is nearly ten thousand Chinese acres. Every household has a tea farm, and tea is the most important source of income for local farmers.

In order to further implement targeted poverty alleviation, resolutely win the decisive battle on poverty alleviation and soundly and effectively boost the tea industry development in Hetian Township, our hospital has invited the delegate including Luo Liewan, Chief Tea Expert from the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Countryside, Feng Haiqiang from the Provincial Center for Promotion of Agricultural Technology, Xiao Guoqiang, President of Zhejiang Newspaper Group Quzhou Branch, the leaders from Kaihua Agricultural and Countryside Bureau and representatives from some leading tea companies to Hetian Township to guide the tea industry povery alleviation work.

On June 5th, accompanied by Chen Yuhong, member of party committee of our hospital and Director of Party and Government Office and leaders from Hetian Township Government, the experts delegate visits Weifeng Village and Lulian Village in Hetian Township for investigation. They have in-depth discussion and communication with the township leading group, listen to report about the current development status and planning of tea in Hetian Township. According to the situation that Hetian County’s tea industry is weak in foundation to various links like variety, management, processing, main body and brand, cheap tea leave price and low incomes from farmers, the countermeasures and suggestions are proposed concerning updating unified variety, strengthening the brand, optimizing the ecology, improving processing technology and exploring external drive, etc, and field coordiantion is conducted on helping the leading enterprise Yuncui Tea to dock with Hetian Township Tea Base for accelerated development.
