There is no new year,

There is no chance of reunion.

Their only destination now is Wuhan.

They stand with the people of Wuhan,

Help them to resist the surging Covid-19!

There are no tears, although full of reluctancy,

There is no hesitation, although family members are in Hangzhou.

At this very moment,

They are wearing heavy protective clothing in the isolation ward,

The spring has come,

the brilliant flowers by the West Lake

are waiting for you to get back.

∆Song Baishan, the leader of the second batch of Zhejiang medical teams and the vice president of the hospital, was photographed on the plane.

After receiving instructions from the superior departments, the party committee attached great importance to the menacing COVID-19 epidemic, started the emergency plan at the earliest time, set up the epidemic prevention and control leading team and expert team. The party secretary, president commanded for the front line, all party members charged as an example, and all the staff united against the epidemic. At the same time, the hospital party committee issued a "Proposal on the Fight Against Novel Coronavirus", which is a mobilization order, a declaration, and also a military order. All the Party members and workers in the hospital cancelled their vacations, stayed on duty and rushed forward. All the Party branches signed the fighting applications for rescue work in Wuhan to the party branch secretaries. So far, the hospital has sent 10 people to rescue Wuhan, including six Party members.

They were on the Wuhan front line and the casual records made us cry.

January 28, the 3rd day After reaching Hubei

By mistake, I was transferred to the Ningbo team and became the only non-Ningbo member in the team. Although the work was delayed, I finally met my college classmate who was as skinny as me. In the evening, we got on the bus together to the hospital, like twelve years ago.

Things are going pretty well today. After going to work, the isolation and disinfection techniques repeatedly practiced before have been further consolidated. When I got familiar with the environment, I once again felt the differences in medical environment of Hubei and Zhejiang. The series of small details made me feel like in another medical world. Therefore, I still think that it is not only the responsibility of the medical workers to come out for help, but also to try to learn more for their own use in the process of doing their duty for the society.

I have to say that the experience of wearing protective clothing is really poor. I can only slowly adapt to it. After I saw the pattern of the ward, I still want to do a little fine-tuning, and I hope it could apply to the department in the future.

This is the first day in the ward. There are still many deficiencies, fight!

I woke up at half past eight, which is really rare. I ate a bowl of Wuhan beef noodles, and found my appetite is better than in Hangzhou. In the morning, I organized my own room, divided the clean area and the polluted area, changed my clothes and shoes, took off my mask, and washed my hands. These are the four steps before entering the house.

Towards noon, we had a training. Our team has been formed for nearly 24 hours, but except for when we have a meal, we wore masks all the time and could not see the faces of our companions. Despite that, we will fight together in the future. Two experts gave us training on the detailed explanation of the Covid-19, with a focus on the protection. The party secretary and the president of the Tianyou Hospital, where we are preparing to work, is also here. This is a hospital named after Zhan Tianyou, the first Chinese railroad expert. The leaders of all the hospitals are full of confidence. They have been fighting for more than a month, but they still have a high spirit. Wuhan is a heroic city. As members of the Communist Party, we firmly believe in victory and go to places where epidemic prevention and control are most needed to contribute our full strength to winning the battle.

All our luggage arrived in the evening. Compared with other hospitals, our supplies are the most adequate. Thank you to the hospital and the colleagues in the team. Seeing a small shop across the hotel, I consulted my team-mate and went out quickly pressing the mask before I rushed to buy milk. However, the shop only had a case of pure milk. In addition, the barber was invited to the hotel, I finally can have a haircut as I didn’t have time. President Song suggested me to have a bald haircut. The barber worried that I could feel cold, and was hesitant to do so. I said that it was not the focus and crew cut can be the best protection to reduce infection. Later Zhang Liuye and Ye Lei also had crew cut. So fun in the battle field.

Tianyou Hospital was the third batch of designated hospitals for novel coronavirus patients. In the morning, several core members of our team, together with the director of the Department of Critical Care and the head nurse of Tianyou Hospital, sorted out and confirmed the hospital infection prevention and control requirements, work procedures, work responsibilities, personnel scheduling, and emergency plan. Ventilator (invasive, non-invasive), blood gas analyzer, Crrt machine, a variety of pressure measurement module ... Some new instruments and equipment were emergency deployed, and I helped sort out the operation process. I found all the instruments and equipment operation manual, and shared the video and PPT in the WeChat group  of intensive care team for everyone to learn and train.

Our medical team is divided into general team and intensive care team. I was assigned to the critical care team, including 12 doctors and 48 nurses. I'm the deputy head of intensive care team. In the afternoon, I and XiaoDan (medical team nurse), Wang Jun (medical team doctor) had an in-depth visit to the care ward to understand the patient's situation. At 21: 30, nearly five hours passed, we went out of the care unit, with fog on the goggles, the red sign on the nose, sweat on the back... I came with Zhang LiuYe. After communication with the team leader, she transferred to the intensive care team. Before the battle began, the director Liu Caixia repeatedly asked us to take good care of her, like an elder sister to take care of the younger sister. Safety is the most important, and infection control is the most important. I always worry about something, and put her under my nose for my peace of mind. At this time, as a party member, we are protecting our medical staff and patients in another way.

At 22:00, we returned to the residence and ate the fast food reserved for us by our team mates. We continued to make preparations... The night was deep again. Every day, I would express the message of safety in the WeChat moments.

February 2, 8th day in Hubei

Recorder: Hu Weihang, Deputy Chief Physician of ICU (I) in the hospital

Location: The Wuhan No.4 Hospital

In Wuhan No.4 Hospital, the two doctors were beaten by the family members of novel coronavirus patients two days ago, and the protective clothing was torn. Back to the rest of the place, I received greetings from many relatives and friends... In fact, supplies, logistics are guaranteed here, the breakfasts are prepared by the hotel, and the dinners are delivered by Freshhema to the hospital. We have a shift every five days, with two day shift, one night shift, and two days for rest, so I have good physical strength.

My batch of medical team from Zhejiang has a total of 14 doctors, covering 32 beds, including eight in severe condition, and two in critical condition. All are ICU doctor with rich clinical experience, and have usually seen many severe patients with tracheal intubation and ECMO. By contrast, the treatment here is not particularly difficult. The ward has no tense atmosphere. Nurses often write the names of suspected patients on cards with encouraging words. However, the protection must be focused at any time. Some of the hospital's medical staff were also isolated for observation, as they should have fought alongside us.

Some patients are gradually discharged after two days, but more patients are waiting to be hospitalized. I would try to reduce contact with family, I don’t want them to worry about me.

In the face of the epidemic, we can see the figure of Party members everywhere, who represent the Party in the frontline of anti-epidemic. I just changed the battlefield. As the Zhejiang emergency medical team assistant of the second batch against COVID-19, I am mainly responsible for purchasing the medical and living materials for the whole team. After I arrived in Wuhan, I went to all over the large supermarkets to procure supplies. Although the logistics are not normal now, there are still many people in the supermarket buying basic living items.

The supermarket staff was short-handed. Seeing that we are a medical team purchasing in large quantities, they immediately took the initiative to communicate with us. Hearing that we are from Zhejiang, they volunteered to help us find out items from the inventory, deliver the materials, pack and send them to the bus. They also gave us free milk, shampoo, stapler and other items. I wanted to say something of gratitude, but I didn't expect to be thanked by them. "Thank you, thank Zhejiang for your rescue and your admirable behavior." I was moved by such warmth.

Just like the name of the hospital Tianyou, we hope God will bless China and Wuhan and we will surely win this epidemic prevention battle!

Materials and daily necessities sent from Wuhan residents, which are feel full of love. Among them, many of the second-hand SIM cards were collected and sent by the Wuhan citizen volunteers who pulled them out from their children's phones.
