Use Chinese medicine to serve as the health "protective umbrella"

At the beginning of the outbreak of the "new coronavirus", the internal medicine department of Chinese medicine and the Chinese pharmacy jointly discovered in time a proven prescription for influenza prevention with good clinical feedback--Qufeng Qingwen San. By improving the health of the upper respiratory tract, it can increase the ability to resist the virus. It can be used for wind-cold nasal congestion and runny nose or wind-heat sore throat and fever, especially for early or mild cold symptoms. Not only can this tea be drunk in water, which is simple and convenient, and the improved formula currently in use will not be so resistant even to children. In addition to clinical applications, the flu prevention tea is continuously provided at the window of the Chinese pharmacy, the outpatient hall, the fever clinic, etc. of the two hospitals to serve as the "protective umbrella" for the patients and employees in the hospital.

In order to ensure the supply of medicines, under the leadership of Chinese pharmacist Wan Xiaoqing, secretary of the Second Party Branch of Medical Technology and Director of the Chinese Pharmacy, the Party members of the Second Branch of Medical Technology interpreted "write their original intentions in action", and they agreed on thousands of prescriptions used to prevent the new coronavirus. With the introduction of the fifth edition of the "Diagnosis and Treatment Plan for Pneumonia Caused by New Coronavirus Infection", the Department of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine has drafted several new prescriptions for the treatment of this epidemic. With the active assistance of the Chinese pharmacy, production was quickly implemented.

Those are ready-made medicines, which can be oral and external use and have sufficient stocks, and can meet clinical needs.

In addition, according to the hospital’s anti-epidemic instructions to help the warriors go out, the TCM internal medicine department and Chinese pharmacy also specially prepared Chinese medicine prevention and treatment packages for the warriors who are rushing to help Wuhan and the First Hospital of Zhejiang University and Wenzhou, including anti-flu tea bags and proprietary Chinese medicines, and a total of over 200 copies was distributed.

Conduct TCM consultations for suspected patient with the help of the visiting system

In order to do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic, the Zhejiang Hospital Information Center has added an ICU visitation system, which is based on network video technology, to achieve voice and video communication within the local area network. Recently in the Department of Critical Care Medicine, family members of ICU patients have used it to realize video visits. It not only met the needs of family visits, but also effectively avoided infection and other risks caused by face-to-face visits. In battle of the "new coronavirus" epidemic, the visitation system once again played a major role.

Taking advantage of the combination of Chinese and Western medicine, doctors used Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine to treat patients with suspected new coronary pneumonia as early as possible. According to Yang Minchun, director of the Department of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Zhejiang Hospital, the Department of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine has specially formulated a consultation process for the isolation ward to ensure that suspected patients can drink Chinese medicine. On the morning of February 14th, with the help of the visiting system, Dr. Wang Tao from the Department of Internal Medicine of Zhejiang Hospital consulted more than 10 suspected patients one by one. Based on the different conditions of patients, "Qufeng Qingwen San" or other symptomatic decoction is prescribed to protect the health of the patients.
