 Hits: 3043 Time: 2020-02-07

This cold winter

Has been extremely hard for many because of the epidemic.

At this moment,

A group of angels are in the isolation ward,

Dedicating themselves for thousands of families,

Building defense lines to resist the epidemic.

Although missing family, and having fears,

In the face of unpredictable epidemic outbreaks,

They resolutely stick to the front line!

They are always prepared and stick to posts day and night.

Race against time has become their normal state

Even in the middle of the night, all the medical staff in the isolation ward in Sandun hospital zone are still busy. The head nurse Wang Jia has just been informed that two patients will be transferred to the isolation ward in an hour.

Illness is the order. They are always charging ahead. In this war without smoke, they have no leisure at all in the fight against the raging virus, and race against time has become the normal state of their lives.

Be standardized and meticulous, and take calm response

One of the transferred patients is a young male, and his eyes reflected a trace of uneasiness and fear. Ding Wenjie, a nurse born in 1993, always paid close attention to the patient's test data, be standardized and meticulous, and calmly responded. Every data is very important, and the patient's safety is urgent, so she would take good care of him and treat him carefully. The beating data on the screen is the meaning she sticks to.

Before the New Year's Eve, Ding Wenjie entered the front line of the war against the "epidemic disease" at the earliest time possible, and the isolation ward is very strange to her, a young nurse working for only two years.

It is her first time to wear protective clothing, take so many layers of gloves to draw blood, face isolated patients, and stay outside home for the Spring Festival ... In this battle, she experienced too many first times. She had panic, anxiety and helplessness in her heart, but when she turned on her mobile phone and saw the tired figure of the medical staff fighting in the epidemic area, when she saw that they could only have fast food and snacks for the New Year's Eve, and a doctor cried in front of the camera because she could not accompany her children, she understands what responsibility and dedication is at what moment. Facing the charge and comfort by the head nurse, she is no longer afraid.

"Now we are all soldiers, we never retreat and we go forward on the battlefield."

"Time is not as difficult as imagined."

From dawn, Wan Tingting, a nurse born after 1995, began to adapt to the work in the isolation ward. But after a long time, she found that she had to face not only suspected patients, but also many difficulties, such as being sweaty after wearing protective clothing for a long time, the goggles being obscured by the exhaled gas, with the visibility no more than one meter. Her body under the clothing was like in a sauna, and no sound outside the isolation ward could be heard. Every communication depends on a pen and a piece of paper, and the loneliness is in great comparison to the happiness in the past Spring Festival.

"When I first arrived in the isolation ward, I was always scared because of my inexperience. Looking at the colleagues wearing thick isolation gown who are afraid to say anything, I also felt distressed. In the isolation ward, there is no communication equipment, except one walkie-talkie. I was nervous. A few short hours could make me feel like a long time has passed..."

In order to save protective resources, the nurses try to avoid going to the toilet during work, and Wan Tingting has to fight back her thirst and did not dare to drink more water. Over time, her lips are chapped, skin getting rough, and her face and bridge of the nose deeply impressed by wearing masks for a long time. Washing hands countless times every day leads to chapped skin on her hands. "But my colleagues can help each other both at work and in life. The rare fate brings us together, and time is not as difficult as imagined."

"True love is to walk side by side with you"

"Girl, you should go to rest first. I am in charge here now." More than an hour ago, nurse Zheng Yuting made the shift with Wan Tingting.

"It’s OK, I will help you for a while, and I will go to rest later." Wan Tingting couldn’t help worrying about the things at hand, and said to Zheng Yuting.

"I'm 29 after this Chinese New Year, but I am always a child in my parents' eyes. When I decided to stay in the isolation ward, I called my parents. After a few seconds of silence on the other end, they finally put the overall situation first, only saying, Be brave, baby! Then they hang up the phone." She can't remember how long she hasn't been home, and how many years she hasn't had a good dinner with her parents. Zheng Yuting later learned that her mother stayed up all night and worried all the time.

"My boyfriend cried sadly because he couldn't be with me in the New Year’s Eve after he went back. He held me crying, even harder than me ..."

Her boyfriend who calmed down later called her and said, "People like you are needed in the special time. It doesn't matter, I will always be there! True love is to walk side by side with you." Hearing this, Zheng Yuting breathed a long sigh of relief. She secretly cheered herself up: Be brave, be brave!

Postpone engagement to stick to love.

Indeed, when love encounters an epidemic, love will never fade. At noon, taking advantage of the meal time, the nurse Zhu Mengyu looked at the message sent by the fiance: "Protect yourself, take care of yourself."

They originally scheduled to be engaged in their hometown on the fourth day of the New Year, but she decisively postponed it. She said that at the critical moment of preventing and controlling the epidemic, as a nurse, she must not just care about her own happiness, while neglecting the life safety and health of the public.

Zhu Mengyu knows that in her hometown, engagement is even more important than marriage ceremony. Zhu Mengyu and her boyfriend made careful preparations for this day. As early as November 2019, both parties set the engagement date on January 28, 2020 (the fourth day of the New Year's Day). Parents from both parties informed important relatives and family members that they planned to gather on this day.

However, what people did not expect was that the epidemic in full swing. At this moment, let alone engagement, it is impossible to go home and reunite with their family members. They are faced with a lifelong event of engagement as well as a national event of epidemic prevention and control. Facing the dilemma, Zhu Mengyu thought, as long as they love each other, the engagement could be in another auspicious day after the epidemic is over. The epidemic prevention and control are a matter of life and death for the public, and cannot be delayed for even a moment! After balancing, she told her boyfriend and their family members the idea of postponing the engagement, and got everyone's understanding and support.

With the understanding and support of their family members, Zhu Mengyu was more confident and motivated in fighting for epidemic prevention and control. She nailed herself to the hospital and did all the work with all her heart.

"You go first, I'll take off my mask and take medicine after you go, as I can't infect you."

In the afternoon, Duan Yanjuan, a nurse who has been employed for half a year, is busy preparing the equipment and medicines for infusion of patients. In addition to infusion and meals, she also needs to take medicine, oxygen and body temperature for patients. "When I come in, I came to know that those who have been sticking to the front line are really hard." Duan Yanjuan said.

Duan Yanjuan was deeply touched by the patient's understanding. One patient was inconvenient to move, and she helped to pour water for the patient to take medicine, but the patient didn't take off her mask. "You go first. I will take off my mask and take medicine after you go. I can't infect you." The patient's words warmed Duan Yanjuan's heart all day.

● 7: 43 pm

Dinner in a few bites

Dinner at night is the only time to relax in 24 hours. Near 8: 00 pm, Niu Dianli, a nurse who was a new mother, finished the ward round and walked out. It is not the meal time, so she has no appetite. She could only have a few bites and start her hectic work again. She says that her son is in her hometown, and she has not seen her son for several months because of the epidemic.

The family joked with her, saying that she used to have records of 10,000 or 20,000 steps on WeChat before, but now she has less than 1,000 steps every day. Is she not busy at work? Actually, it's not. It is because the cell phone can't be taken to the ward. In the ward, they can only sit down and chat, make jokes with each other to relieve some pressure.

Niu Dianli said, "The epidemic is the order, and we have the prevention and control responsibility. Wherever the epidemic is, the party members will be there. I am a nurse and a communist party member. In the face of the epidemic, my colleagues and I hope to stick to our duties and contribute to an early victory over the epidemic. I believe that we can unite as one and work together to overcome the disease. Let's cheer! Come on Wuhan! Come on China! "

● 10: 17 pm

Coax the patient to sleep

"I'm so anxious, doctor and nurse, will I be all right?" A patient in the isolation ward was very depressed. Nurse Lei Siqi comforts, "You have to have confidence in yourself, don't be nervous, take a deep breath. Now that you have used antipyretics, you will feel better. The doctors and nurses are always there, and you will be fine." Under the comfort of Lei Siqi, the patient gradually calms down.

"The chat can eliminate the tension and relax the patient. He has not slept well these days, and now he can finally sleep for a while." Lei Siqi says thankfully.

At the time of SARS, Lei Siqi was only a 6-year-old child. She didn't expect that when this epidemic came, she became a "security guard" on the front line. "My family kept yelling at me. I had to call my family every day to report my message of safety. I even saw my sister secretly wiping tears in the room. I only hope that the epidemic can be controlled as soon as possible, and everyone can resume normal life and reunite with their families as soon as possible!"

She says that she is a communist party member, and there is no individual in front of the country. She is honored to do her part for the motherland in this special period. Now the mother is just sick. I believe that with the joint efforts of the whole country, she will regain her health and vitality again in the near future!

In the special birthday, she grows up by groping

Just after 0: 00, nurse Chen Qin temporarily finished her work in the isolation ward, took off her protective clothing, and prepared to eat after cleaning.

When she pushed open the door of the rest area of the isolation ward and turned on her mobile phone, she received dozens of WeChat messages.

"Happy birthday!"

"Happy birthday, dear soldier struggling on the front line!"

“Happy birthday! Protect yourself ~ "

Family members, friends, colleagues, and former patients all sent short messages to bless her. "I was moved at the time, and the ears that were numb by the mask tightening did not hurt instantly." Chen Qin cried out immediately, thinking that no one would remember her 26th birthday this year. But she didn't expect everyone wish her happy birthday in the isolation ward, which is really different.

"This big family is really warm. I hope we can all end this battle early and return to normal life." This is Chen Qin's birthday wish, and it is also the wish of all of us.
