On July 7, the national finals of the first National Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Skills Competition organized by the American Heart Association (AHA) Nodu International Training Center was held in Beijing. Finally, the ACLS team of Zhejiang Hospital composed of Luo Lixin, Lu Xing, Lin Chen, Zhang Zhufeng, Zhang Haiyan and Feng Yanghui won the recognition of all judges with careful clinical thinking and efficient team cooperation, It stood out among the 9 finals teams from all regions of the country and won the second place in the country! The Golden Trophies and Red Certificates all show the excellent performance of the ACLS team of Zhejiang Hospital in this National Rescue Contest.

Competition: Sheer Authenticity

Advanced Life Support refers to a series of first aid measures taken by professional medical personnel in case of acute cardiovascular events, mainly including ventilation and oxygen supply, circulatory support, electric defibrillation, organ function monitoring after resuscitation, etc.

Under the guidance of the dual missions of "All for Life" and "Help Save Life", AHA Laerdal ITC has been striving to improve the quality of CPR training. Since 2007, it has been growing and expanding, and the team of the Training Center has gradually expanded within the scope of China. As of May 2019, AHA Laerdal ITC has developed and established 323 AHA authorized training centers in China (including 163 ACLS centers and 39 PALS centers). The National Senior Cardiovascular Life Support Team Rescue Contest was organized by various AHA authorized training centers across the country. A total of 9 teams entered the finals, which were composed of teams that won the preliminary competition in the three sub-competition areas of East China, South China and North China. The preliminary competition of East China division of this competition was undertaken by Zhejiang Hospital. After the ACLS team of Zhejiang Hospital successfully qualified, it won the opportunity to participate in the national finals.

Behind: in addition to pride, only moving

As the saying goes, one minute on stage, ten years off stage. In order to save the 15 minute appearance of the grand contest finals, the ACLS team members of Zhejiang hospital paid a month's efforts and sweat“ All the way from the Preliminary to the Final, from Hangzhou to Beijing, I practiced day and night for a whole month. No Dragon Boat Festival, no night break, no two-day break. After an arduous month, I finally got back to the second place in the country. In addition to pride, I was only moved. " After the competition, Xu Fen, Director of the Medical Simulation Center of Zhejiang Hospital, was filled with emotions in the Wechat Circle of Friends.

 "Others are 996, we are 8, 11, 7!"

After getting off work at more than 5 p.m., I stepped on the bus from Lingyin hospital to Sandun Hospital, came to the Medical Simulation Center to meet the team members, and practiced until late at night. This has become the routine of Lin Chen, Head Nurse of the Emergency Department (Lingyin Hospital area) of Zhejiang Hospital in the past month, "Others are 996, we are 8, 11 and 7!" She, who was responsible for recording in the team, put all her personal difficulties behind her in order not to delay the Martial Arts Competition. She not only sacrificed her rest time, but even postponed the scheduled mass removal operation. The harvest is huge. "The big competition is a case, which has greatly exercised our clinical thinking through practice and actual combat." Lin Chen said.

Intelligent simulator, look at my "64 changes"

We analyzed, studied and rehearsed 64 cases during practice, which fully integrated the ability of team cooperation and effective division of labor." Luo Lixin, team leader, the Emergency Department of Zhejiang Hospital, said. Where do 64 cases come from? The intelligent simulator at the medical simulation center helped a lot. As the largest teaching center in the province except the Affiliated Hospital, Sandun Medical Simulation Center has introduced many of the most advanced teaching equipment in the world, including virtual endoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, intervention, SIM3G, SimMom, Thuarmer, and of course, advanced intelligent simulators. According to the treatment of doctors and nurses, the condition of these intelligent simulators will change, and their vital signs will change accordingly. They can vomit, cough, twitch, dyspnea, asthma, cyanosis, sweating, salivation and pupil changes. Through computer settings, the team members rehearsed the situation they could encounter on the intelligent simulator countless times before the game. Therefore, when the theme of "patient sleeping pill poisoning" was drawn in the finals, it could be completed so smoothly and efficiently, which was highly praised by the judges.

They still deserve applause because of their illness

There are regrets behind the applause. Dr. Wu Liang of the Department of Critical Medicine of Zhejiang Hospital is still hospitalized in Lingyin hospital. He was in charge of airway management in the preliminary competition. Because he went to the grass-roots level, went to work and trained for a while, he eventually led to ketoacidosis. When he was admitted to the ward, his blood glucose burst, so he had no choice but to give up the finals; Qiao song, Deputy Director of Neurology Department of Zhejiang Hospital, is the captain of the preliminary competition. He didn't want his family to have a sudden myocardial infarction. He regretted not to be in the finals......

The ACLS team of Zhejiang Hospital overcame many difficulties and persisted in training. The team recorded every simulation drill and continued to replay and summarize, and finally achieved good results in the national finals! This is the best thanks to all team members, family members, training partners and department leaders who support off-duty training since the preliminary competition!

"Martial Arts Competition is an important measure to improve basic ability and consolidate the foundation of medical practice, in order to promote learning and progress. In the future, we will strive for more opportunities to go out and fully display the style of Zhejiang Hospital people. " Xu Fen said. The Advanced Life Support program in Zhejiang Hospital did not stop with the end of the competition. On the contrary, all the players participating in the competition said that they had improved their understanding and skills of Advanced Life Support through the competition, and hoped to help the relevant departments of the whole hospital improve their relevant skills and abilities in the follow-up Advanced Life Support teaching process, so as to better serve patients, ensure patient safety and improve medical quality.
