On September 30, the signing ceremony of the target management task book of the national regional medical center and key cultivation specialist construction project in Zhejiang Province was held in Hangzhou. According to the cooperation agreement, combined with the overall deployment of building medical peak, our geriatric medicine became the key cultivation specialty of Zhejiang Province medicine.On October 10, the launch meeting of the key cultivation specialty project of geriatric medicine in Zhejiang Province was held in our Lingyin Hospital, where Yan Jing, secretary of the Party Committee of our hospital, Hong Chaoyang, president, Jin Xiaoqing, Song Baishan, vice president and directors of relevant functional and clinical departments attended, and made planning and arrangement for the project.

At the project launch meeting, Yan Jing introduced the overall tasks and goals of the project. Our hospital will actively promote the introduction and training of talents in geriatric-related specialties, procurement and installation of important instruments and equipment, improve the construction of information platform, innovate key technologies, revise geriatric-related guidelines and many other initiatives，to make the service capacity and level of geriatric disease-related specialties continuously improve, build a regional leading and domestic first-class geriatric key specialty, become a diagnosis and treatment center for difficult and critical geriatric diseases in Zhejiang Province, including geriatric intensive care center, geriatric cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment center, geriatric ischemic cerebrovascular disease one-stop multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment center, geriatric blood purification center, geriatric tumor geriatric syndrome diagnosis and treatment center, etc., establish a network system for diagnosis and treatment of major geriatric diseases in Zhejiang Province, ensure that major geriatric diseases in the region are effectively treated and geriatric syndromes are effectively managed, and strongly promote healthy aging in the region.

Hong Chaoyang said that the hospital will integrate and utilize geriatric medical resources in medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health management, improve the overall service capacity and technical level, and enhance the overall efficiency of the geriatric medical and health service system. Subsequently, Chen Xinyu, director of the medical department of our hospital, made a detailed breakdown of the project tasks. She put forward specific requirements for the relevant clinical specialties and functional departments in five aspects, including the development of cutting-edge technologies, the creation of first-class key specialties, the construction of high-level scientific and creative platforms, the cultivation of top medical talents and teams, and the enhancement of regional influence. Our Geriatrics Department, Cardiovascular Medicine Department, Critical Care Medicine Department, Zhejiang Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment Research Center, Rehabilitation Medicine Department, Brain Center, Zhejiang Institute of Geriatrics/Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Geriatrics, Oncology Department and Nutrition Department made detailed plans on high-level science and innovation platform building, talent introduction construction, information platform construction, instrument and equipment acquisition, etc., and also put forward performance targets . The heads of functional departments, such as Medical Affairs Department, Science and Education Department, Medical Engineering Department, Organization and Personnel Department, Quality Management Office, Finance Department, Information Center, International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and Social Development Department, conducted in-depth and detailed communication and collaborative deployment on specific tasks, laying a solid foundation for the effective start of various tasks after the project was launched.
