World Heart Day | Our hospital's red heart action goes to the heart!

September 29th is "World Heart Day".

Its purpose is to promote

to promote knowledge about heart health

and to make the general public aware of

Life requires a healthy heart

"Each year, approximately 17.5 million people die from cardiovascular disease worldwide. By 2030, this number is expected to rise to 23 million, including heart disease and stroke. In today's world, cardiovascular disease has become the number one health killer, and these diseases can actually be avoided. Both medical professionals and the general public can live longer, better lives and have healthier hearts by making small changes in their daily lives.

September 29 is World Heart Day, and the theme is "Make a commitment to be a heart hero". Our cardiac center held a CPR education activity for adults with the theme of "Health Service, Red Heart Action" in the community activity center of Jindi Zizhi City, led by Du Changqing, deputy director of cardiovascular medicine, and Fang Juan, chief nurse of cardiovascular medicine in Sandun Hospital.

The activity was divided into three parts, the first part was conducted by Dr. Du Changqing to educate the community residents about adult CPR. During the lecture, everyone listened attentively and could not help but take out their cell phones to take pictures when the key parts were mentioned. The second part of the lecture was to explain the actions of CPR and to give hands-on guidance on the correct actions of CPR, and finally everyone had a hands-on experience on the simulator and really did a correct CPR. After the experience, everyone felt that it was very rewarding, and the practice was still very realistic and much harder than expected. The third part was a small charity clinic for community residents, and everyone lined up in an orderly manner. Blood pressure was taken, blood sugar was measured, and various health-related questions were answered, making the scene slightly hot.

The event ended successfully with a very lively atmosphere and the residents asked to come back more often. The heart center of our hospital told the residents that in the future, on Thursday morning of the last week of each month, we will launch a series of activities called "Health Service, Red Heart Action", and various members of the heart center, especially the party members, will bring cardiovascular knowledge lectures and CPR skills training to you regularly, with the aim of providing you with "have health, enjoy the future".
