Tan Yongzhong began his speech by saying that the overall incidence and prevalence of stroke in China is still on the rise, and the burden of stroke disease is still increasing, with 12.42 million people aged 40 and above suffering from stroke.  Stroke has become the number one cause of death in China's population. The 2018 China Health Statistics Summary shows that in 2017, the mortality rate of cerebrovascular disease in China was 126.48/100,000 for urban residents and 157.00/100,000 for rural residents, according to which it is estimated that as many as 1.96 million patients die of stroke each year nationwide, and 70% of the survivors are left with varying degrees of permanent disability.

After years of publicity and education on hypertension prevention and control in Zhejiang Province, and the unremitting efforts of the government and professional institutions at all levels, the control effect has been significantly improved. The results of the 2013 survey in Zhejiang Province show that the awareness rate, medication rate and control rate of hypertension patients in urban and rural populations in the province are 69.3%, 58.8% and 31.9% respectively, achieving remarkable results and extensive social benefits in the prevention and control of hypertension. Despite the great progress in prevention and control of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the situation is still serious, so it is urgent to pay attention to the early risk factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, early detection and early intervention.

Wang Haiyan said that today's large-scale "Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Control Month" campaign aims to increase the public's awareness of blood pressure and raise awareness of stroke. At the same time, cardiovascular disease risk assessment was carried out to advocate the public to pay attention to cardiovascular disease risk factors at an early stage. During the event, the inauguration ceremony of "Zhejiang Hospital North Zhejiang Brain Center" was held, and Zhang Yongjie issued a letter of appointment for the director of our hospital's North Zhejiang Brain Center to Wan Shu, the director of our hospital's brain center.

Wan Shu introduced in his speech, since the establishment of our hospital Pinghu Branch in 2013, in the early stationing of experts, help in the diagnosis and treatment of technology, while further advanced management concepts, strong medical team synchronization to the branch, has set up a "Zhejiang Hospital Diabetes Center Pinghu Branch" "Zhejiang Zhejiang Hospital Diabetes Center Pinghu Branch", "Zhejiang Hospital Ophthalmology Branch Pinghu Branch", "Zhejiang Hospital Stroke Center Pinghu" and "Zhejiang Hospital North Zhejiang Heart Center", which greatly solve the demand of local patients for medical treatment in Pinghu. The establishment of Zhebei Brain Center is another new initiative to refine the work of double sinking of medical resources of our hospital, which will further realize the seamless transfer of talents and technology from our hospital to Pinghu, improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases in northern Zhejiang, and better serve the health of local people.

Yan Jing said that our hospital actively responds to the call of " Health Zhejiang", grasping the main line of prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the Zhejiang Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Control Research Center (attached to our hospital), since its establishment in 1986, has been committed to the province's cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and control research, playing an important role in the construction of the province's three-tier network for the prevention and control of chronic diseases. At the same time, the National Cardiovascular Center for Hypertension Specialized Medical Consortium Zhejiang Province was established in the province, uniting 228 member units in the province to work together with one heart.  Around the national health care commission proposed the formation of "service" "responsibility" "interests" "management" four community requirements, within the hypertension-specific medical association, we have built "five unifications": unified management platform, unified training program, unified quality evaluation, unified certification system, and unified health education to comprehensively improve the province's cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and treatment capabilities. He hoped that Pinghu Branch of the hospital would take the establishment of "Zhejiang Hospital North Zhejiang Brain Center" as an opportunity to speed up the training of talents and discipline construction, further build a characteristic brand, vigorously improve the level of medical technology, and promote the vigorous development of health care in Pinghu. At the same time, in the outpatient hall of Pinghu Branch of our hospital, 10 experts, including Dr. Liu Xiaoli, Deputy Director of Neurology Department of our hospital, Dr. Yu Wei, Deputy Director of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Research Center of Zhejiang Province and Director of Hypertension Center of our hospital, and Dr. Xu Xiaoling, Director of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Research Center of Zhejiang Province, brought a high-level and high-quality medical consultation to everyone. More than 100 patients from Pinghu came to the clinic to have their blood glucose and blood pressure measured, learn how to measure their own blood pressure in a standardized way, and consult and seek medical advice from the experts. Wan Shu, on the other hand, brought a health lecture on "Pay attention to stroke prevention in autumn and winter" to the local people.

"Today, my blood pressure is a little lower than before."   Yu Wei reminded hypertensive patients that blood pressure changes with the weather, and that the alternation of cold and warm is also a time of high complications, as high and low blood pressure can lead to strokes. Patients with hypertension must take antihypertensive drugs under the guidance of a doctor, avoid large doses of antihypertensive drugs in a short period of time, do not think that blood pressure is not high or no discomfort symptoms and thought paralysis, to go to regular health checks, at least once every six months, in order to grasp the early changes in the condition to prevent accidents.
