Forestall Fire Risks and Fight against Organized Crimes for A Safe, Stable and Harmonious Hospital Environment

Zhang Ping, director of the Provincial Health Commission, pointed out in the outline of his speech at the enlarged meeting of the Party Committee’s Theory Learning Center Group on March 8 that “We should be vigilant in times of peace and attach great importance to major risks faced by health department in the new situation.” Regarding fire risks, he mentioned that the hospital is densely populated and highly mobile, surrounded by high-rise buildings, and is prone to fires. We should attach great importance to fire risks and keep vigilant at all times.

Regarding safety, Zhejiang Hospital has been strictly following the requirements of the Provincial Health Commission. Yan Jing, Party Secretary of Zhejiang Hospital, Dean Hong Chaoyang, and Deputy Dean Huang Qingdong personally led the team to check the potential safety hazards and guide the safety work. Yan Jing said that fire safety is very important and must be attached great importance. All staff must raise awareness and strive to create a stable and safe hospital environment.

At the beginning of this year, under the deployment of Deputy Dean Huang Qingdong, Zhejiang Hospital carried out a number of special inspection activities for potential safety hazards, checking the management of dangerous chemicals, illegal electrical appliances, and flammable materials, at the same time conducted daily fire inspections and monthly safety checks to ensure the normal use of the firefighting facilities.

With the enhancement of fire safety awareness, the enthusiasm of various departments in the hospital for fire drills is constantly rising. They have made appointments for drills and asked the Security Department for guidance. The action of “rescue, alarm, restriction, fire extinguishing, and evacuation” progresses smoothly, and the awareness of fire safety is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

Micro fire stations are equipped in accordance with relevant standards, and regular drills are conducted to build a defense mechanism aimed at rescuing early, extinguishing small fires and "three minutes to the scene" to put out early fires.

Safety Training set off again, and the hospital safety department takes the fire safety training as a daily work in combination with management objective, so as to ensure that the whole hospital pay attention to it and all employees master the knowledge of fire safety that they should know.

In order to eliminate the "malignant tumor" of society and ensure the overall harmony and stability of the hospital, since July 2018, according to the requirements of the Hangzhou Public Security Department, the hospital has issued reporting notices involving gangs and crimes from security key units of Hangzhou through OA and WeChat, and has widely publicized the crimes in the hospital. At the same time, they set up roll screens at the entrances of hospital and outpatient clinics, and placed report boxes in crowded staff canteens.

In March of this year, in accordance with the new requirements of the Provincial Health Commission for the eradication of gangs, related slogans were broadcast on the electronic display screen, and banners were hung in prominent positions in the hospital to create a strong atmosphere of anti-triad and anti-evil.

Through the publicity of the special struggle against evils, they enhanced the legal awareness of the staff and ensured the harmonious and stable environment of the hospital.
