According to Axing Zhengzhou, as the increasing aging of the population ,under the background of the increasing number of tumor patients and end-stage patients, it was followed by a urgent question to be thought about -how to protect the "last kilometer" of patients' lives and make their lives "beautiful to the last" .Relying on the professional platform of geriatrics of Shijiazhuang hospital and based on the "West Lake model", the Shijiazhuang · protecting life and tranquility volunteer team of Shijiazhuang hospital carries out tranquility care knowledge training for tranquility volunteers, public life and death education and the publicity and promotion of tranquility care concept, so as to provide help in the "physical, mental, social and spiritual" care of end-stage patients and their families.At present, there were 15 core volunteers teem members, who carried out 4 items of characteristic tranquility volunteer service, served 604 person with 1208 hours in all.
