Medical Assistance to Xinjiang, Start A New Journey——A New Team of Xinjiang Assisting Talents Enter into Xinjiang Successfully

According to the essences of the notice from the Provincial Committee Organizational Department and The Provincial Department of Human Resources Social Security about accomplishing selection of the cadres and talents for the 10^th teams assigned to Xinjiang, Piao Zhibin, Vice Director of Medical Administration Department from Zhejiang Hospital and an Associate Chief Physician (status for assisting Xinjiang is the Vice Director of No.1 People’s Hospital in Akesu Area) and Tang Yimin, Director Assistant of Heart Center and Associate Chief Physician from Cardiovascular Medicine Department (status for assiting Xinjiang is Vice Director of Cardiovascular Medicine Department of No.1 People’s Hospital in Akesu Area). They are assigned as the 10^th team of talents assisting Xinjian to undertake the tasks of assisting Xinjiang with the term of one and a half year at No.1 People’s Hospital of Akesu Area.

The mobilization and farewell meeting is held at Zhejiang Hospital on April 24 for the two doctors to be assigned to Xinjiang for medical assistance. On the meeting, Shen Jiong, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department introduces the basic information about this selection and assignment and the attention points before their departure. Huang Qingdong, Vice Director of Zhejiang Hospital hopes the two doctors to be assigned to Xinjiang pay more attention to personal safety, make full use of the platform assisting Xinjiang, and improve their personal capabilities.

Hong Chaoyang, Director of Zhejiang Hospital emphasizes that the two doctors to be assigned to Xinjiang should firmly establish the safety awareness, and entrusts them to make full use of the home front resources, and resort to telemedicine and many other forms to undertake the medical assistance.

At last, Yan Jing, party committee secretary of Zhejiang Hospital encourage them to be integrated into the work assisting Xinjiang as soon as possible with full enthusiasm for work, and exert the down-to-earth and innovative work spirit of Zhejiang Hospital into the assistance to Xinjiang. Meanwhile, he also says the hospital will be the strongest backup force whatever difficulties encounter, and feed an assurance pill for the doctors to be assigned to Xinjiang.

The two talents to be assigned to Xinjiang respectively express their attitudes and deliver speeches, and they say they will be brave to assume responsibilities, will successfully accomplish their mission and accomplish the task of assisting Xinjiang successfully.

Hope Tang Yimin to promote the intervention technology at the Cardiovascular Medicine Department of No.1 People’s Hospital in Akesu Area to a higher professional level after arriving in Xinjiang, meanwhile hope Piao Zhibin will be generous in imparting the advanced medical administration experiences accumulated at Zhejiang Hospital, and will cover Akesu Area with administration models like medical safety management and quality management, technical management, clinical route management, and so on.

On the morning in April 25, Chen Xinyu, Director of the Medical Administration Department and Zhu Ruichen, Vice Director of the Organization and Personnel Department escort the two doctors to Xiaoshan International Airport in Hangzhou. Chen Xinyu hopes the team members to strictly follow work disciplines, bear in mind the entrusts from organization, exert strong specialties, help each other, and make the maximal contributions in the work assisting Xinjiang.

Since 1997, as a backbone force assisting Xinjiang, Zhejiang Hospital is always actively responding and mobilizing all the staff according to the unified deployments from the Central Committee. While precisely assisting Xinjiang, many models assisting Xinjiang are adopted like “flexible Xinjiang assistance” and “packaging disciplines by hospital”, etc. Totally 55 person-times are assigned since 2016, including 9 persons in group form. According to the statistics so far, totally 18150 person-times are hospitalized, 32304 person-times for outpatient and clinical treatment, 4489 times of operation and intervention treatments, 2684 person-times critical patients rescued. Totally 47 new technologies and new businesses are undertaken, 18 new technologies and new projects have filled up the regional margins, and many first cases are created: such as catheterization for intestinal obstruction, ERCP, ultrasonic hemodynamic monitoring of severe cases, ultrasound-guided vascular puncture technique, renal arteriography, and Left ventricular imaging (Dilated cardiomyopathy and evaluation of cardiac function), etc. Emergency and Critical Diagnosis and Treatment Center, Hypertension Center and Screening center for Early Gastrointestinal Cancer are established and Special Clinic for Heart Failure is established. The professional lectures delivered by experts assigned to Xinjiang at various departments are as high as 549 times, more than 90 academic lectures are made, and 70 specialty talents are cultivated. Totally 33 people have received short-term training and further training at the hospital.

2020 is a very special year to everyone, and the sudden unexpected COVID-19 has changed life tracks of too many people. Even so, the rampant novel coronavirus still cannot obstruct Zhejiang Hospital from conducting its deployments and arrangements for assisting Xinjiang. All the members of the 10th Medical Support Team assigned to Xinjiang by Zhejiang Province have successfully arrived in Xinjiang under the overall instructions from the headquarters in “Zhejiang” and “Xinjiang” and under the leadership from the Provincial Health Committee plus the coordination and supports from leaders of both hospitals.

At the moment when they get off the stair ladder and put their feet on the ground of Xinjiang, they have already started their work assisting Xinjiang. Currently, the doctors assigned to Xinjiang have started their connections with relevant departments and offices, so as to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent work. Time is just like a measuring ruler, which measures the road forging ahead. We believe the doctors assigned to Xinjiang from Zhejiang Hospital must bear in mind the entrusts and mission, forge ahead and compose their own “stories assisting Xinjiang”.
