In order to conscientiously implement the spirit of the instructions of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Health Commission on carrying out the theme education of "Do not forget the original heart and remember the mission", the members of the Second Tour Group of the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission "Do not forget the original heart and remember the mission" themed education party class was held in the Lingyin District of Zhejiang Hospital on the morning of July 30.

The meeting was chaired by Yan Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Hospital. All middle-level cadres, party member representatives, group organization leaders, and leaders, cadres and party member representatives of provincial cadre health center, provincial health education center, provincial health and family planning service center, provincial hospital development center, attended the meeting. All members of the Second Tour Steering Group of the Provincial Health Commission participated in the whole process.

In the party class, the leader of the Second Tour Steering Group of the Provincial Health Commission’s Party Committee and the deputy secretary of the Provincial Health Commission’s Party Committee, Xia Jiancheng gave a detailed, vivid and excellent party class, which based on the general requirements and specific goals of the education work on the theme of "Don’t forget the original heart, remember the mission", and centered on Xi Jinping’s socialistic ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and combined with his personal learning and insights. He said we should effectively strengthen the "four consciousnesses", "four self-confidence" and "two safeguards".

Xia Jiancheng mentioned in the party class that we must follow the general requirements of "keeping the original aspiration, shoulder the mission, find the gap, and grasp the implementation" and do a good job in the reform of public hospitals. The first is to uphold the public welfare nature of public hospitals. We must be politically firm, skilled in business, excellent in service, and exemplary in public welfare. The second is to implement the decision-making deployment of the comprehensive reform of public hospitals. In accordance with the reform direction of "returning to public welfare and mobilizing enthusiasm" and the reform path of "controlling, escalating, adjusting, maintaining and strengthening", we should earnestly take various reform tasks, and we must practice in accordance with laws and regulations, scientific and rational diagnosis and treatment, as well as honest practice of medicine, and promotion of medical ethics. The third is to conscientiously do a good job in reforming the price of medical services. We must attach great importance to and unify our understanding; we must improve service capabilities and improve medical services; we must strengthen monitoring and management; and we must also exercise strict discipline and strengthen protection. Party members and cadres must play a pioneering role and take the lead in implementing their work.

During the class, Xia Jiancheng also conveyed the implementation opinions on the construction of "incorruptible hospitals". He said that we must unite, share the responsibility of the party and government, and grasp the construction of "corrupt hospitals" as an important political task with the sense of urgency, a sense of mission and a sense of responsibility to overcome difficulties. We should achieve results, and continue to promote the further development of the construction of "incorruptible hospitals".

Later, Xia Jiancheng analyzed the major theoretical and practical significance of Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era from the perspective of national conditions and party conditions. With vivid examples and in-depth analysis, he emphasized that we must base ourselves on the global situation and have a deep understanding of the significance of strengthening the "four self-confidence" under the global changes unprecedented in a century. We must base ourselves on the national conditions and deeply understand the original intention and mission of the party in the great practice of the construction, reform and development of our country since the founding of the People’s Republic of China 70 years ago, especially since the reform and opening up in 1941. Finally, we must base ourselves on the party’s conditions and carry out in-depth thematic education. It is an urgent need to promote theoretical study, deepen party building, keep close contact with the masses, and implement development strategies.

Yan Jing concluded that this is a thoughtful, meaningful and inspiring party class, by which we are deeply educated and inspired. By listening to the theme party class, all party members will further equip their minds with Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, guide practice, and promote work with it. We must truly turn our initial aspirations and mission into an enterprising, pioneering and innovative spirit and a conscious action of hard work. We must be a "participant", "practitioner" and "promoter" for the healthy development of hospitals and the construction of healthy Zhejiang, and ensure that the educational spirit of "not forgetting the original heart and remembering the mission" takes root.
