Vertigo is a kind of motor or positional illusion caused by the obstacle of spatial positioning. Patients often have an obvious sense of external objects or their own rotation, often accompanied by nausea and vomiting, often sudden onset and obvious fear. According to statistics, the patients with vertigo as the main complaint account for about 5% ~ 10% in the Outpatient Department of Neurology and about 6% in the inpatients. Vertigo can be caused by nervous system, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, anemia, poisoning, endocrine and psychological diseases.

On May 19 last year, the Department of Neurology of the Brain Center of our hospital jointly established the "Vertigo Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Our Hospital" with the departments of otolaryngology, rehabilitation medicine, mental health and traditional Chinese medicine. The center introduced the first benign paroxysmal positional vertigo diagnosis and treatment instrument in the Department of Neurology of Zhejiang Province. So far, it has solved the problem of vertigo for thousands of patients.
