Free clinic activity of “coexisting with kidney disease and living a better

At present, there are 850 million people
suffering from kidney disease in the world. In China, the prevalence rate of
chronic kidney disease has reached 10.8%, that is, one in 10 people has a
kidney patient! The number of dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease is
increasing at an annual rate of 5% ~ 8% in the world. It is estimated that by
2040, chronic kidney disease will become the fifth biggest killer endangering
human health in the world. March 11th is the 16th World Kidney Day, and the
theme of this year is "coexisting with kidney disease and living a better
life". The aim is to take patients as the center, endow patients and
caregivers with strength, live happily in spite of illness and improve the
quality of life.
In order to improve people's understanding of chronic kidney disease as well as early detection and prevention in delay of chronic kidney disease, the Department of Nephrology of our hospital will carry out a free clinic activity of "coexisting with kidney disease and living a better life" on the occasion of 16th World Kidney Day. He is also a member of Hemodialysis Access Committee of Endovascular Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of Hemodialysis Vascular Access Group of Vascular Surgery Committee of Marine Medical Association, and a chairman of Hemodialysis Access Group of Kidney Rehabilitation Committee of Zhejiang Rehabilitation Medical Association.
