Capital “Likes!” Won the "Zhejiang Pride" honor, they left the warm truth of the world in Mali

With Zhejiang pride, both you and me get touched. In the evening of January  15, the activity of the "Most Beautiful Zhejiang People - 2018 Zhejiang Pride People's Award Ceremony" hosted by the publicity department of  Zhejiang Committee of the Communist Party of China and Zhejiang Radio and Television Group was warmly held in the of the Provincial Great Hall of the People. As China's 24th batch of assistance Mali medical team won the "Zhejiang Pride" honor, Song bobin as deputy director of our hospital, the head of the medical team together with Ge Yongping, deputy director and member of that medical team came to the stage and received the award, as China's 24th batch of assistance Mali medical team.

Sprinkling love and medicine over this hot land of Mali! China's 24th batch of medical aid to Mali were composed of the personnel who were selected from hospitals directly under the Zhejiang Health Care Commission, hospitals affiliated with School of Medicine of Zhejiang University, Health Care Commissions in Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Jinhua and Zhoushan. There were totally 31 members,16 of which are of the Communist Party of China. There were 27 medical personnel from 19 departments, 2 interpreters and 2 chefs.Across half of Eurasia, through the Sahara Desert, they arrived in Mali on July 20, 2015. Since than they started their long journey in Africa. Computers unavailable, manual call for the order of patients, manual prescriptions, infectious diseases raging ...under those situation, they practiced the spirit of the foreign medical team as "fearless of hardship, willing to give, save the dead and wounded, love without borders".

Over the past two years, the medical team leader Song Bobin led the medical team to serve more than 180,000 people. His team was not only provided for the local with high-quality medical services and disseminate professional medical technology, but also left the warm truth of the world in West Africa. In the meantime, they brought back the friendship between China and Mali ... Song had received the National Knight of Mali while Ge Yongbin awarded the Order of the Health of Mali.

Over the years, our hospital attached great importance to foreign medical work. With positive action, accumulating the competent resources, we constantly strengthened team building and personnel training. Over the past 10 years, our hospital had sent a number of highly skilled medical personnel backbone and outstanding medical personnel to participate in a total of 4 batches of foreign aid medical work. In addition to Song Paru and Ge Yongping, Dong Lijun as chief nurse from the Dental Department who participated in the Namibian Medical Team twice as well as Qiao Song as deputy director of Neurology who participated in the 22nd Batch of Medical Team in Zhejiang, who provided high-quality medical services to the African people with blood and sweat, charity and art of medical operation.That greatly promoted cooperation and friendship in the field of hygiene in Central Africa.In 2019, as a member of the 26th Batch of Experts of China's Medical Aid to Mali, Dr. Wang Bozhong, Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department, will travel to Mali to embark on a new journey of assistance to Africa.
