Operation Instructions for Patients

1. Please take a bath and change clothes (hospital gown) the day before the operation and keep warm. Please follow the doctor's advice and fast after 10 p.m.

 

2. Please wash your face and brush your teeth in the morning on the day of the operation. Do not drink water. Please take off your dentures, watches, hairpins, jewelry, etc., and do not take money or valuables with you.

 

3. Do not put on makeup and lipstick, otherwise it will affect the observation of your condition.

 

4. Please empty your bladder and wear a hospital gown (do not wear your own clothes or underwear) in the morning on the day of the operation. Please stay in bed until the nurse takes you to the operating room.

 

5. Please inform the operating room nurse if you have allergies to drugs or disinfectants, hypertension, and diabetes.

 

6. The wheeled stretcher and operating bed are relatively narrow, so please inform the nurse for assistance if you have to turn over on the stretcher or bed.

 

7. The operations performed on you after entering the operating room include: intravenous infusion, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, selection of anesthesia and surgical body position.

 

8. Please remain calm if the instruments in the operating room make a noise.

 

9. In case of dizziness, palpitation, shortness of breath, nausea and other discomfort during the operation, please inform the doctor or nurse in time.

 

10. Urethral catheterization is generally performed after anesthesia, and you will not feel any obvious discomfort, so please rest assured.
