He enjoys the special allowance of the State Council, and is currently an expert of the National Mission for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents, a member of the National Technical Steering Group for Prevention of Blindness, the chairman of the Provincial Medical Association's Branch for Prevention of Blindness, the director of the Provincial Guidance Center for Prevention of Blindness, the director of the Provincial Eye Institute, the chairman of the Zhejiang Medical Association's Branch for Prevention of Blindness, the chairman-designate of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Zhejiang Society of Integrative Medicine, and the deputy chairman of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Association. He participated in the formulation of the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Prevention of Blindness in China and was responsible for drafting the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Prevention of Blindness in Zhejiang Province.

So far, he has been working in the front line of clinical practice and has performed 12,000 cataract, corneal transplantation, retinal and other types of surgeries, and has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common and difficult diseases in ophthalmology. He is the first to carry out iris fixed refractive lens implantation for super high myopia, the first to carry out iris clamped lens implantation for aphakic surgery, the earlier to carry out cataract ultrasound emulsification and microincision cataract ultrasound emulsification combined with IOL implantation, and the leading to carry out femtosecond laser assisted corneal transplantation in Zhejiang Province. He has high attainments in living cornea transplantation, femtosecond laser-assisted precision corneal transplantation, micro-incision cataract ultrasound emulsification, refractive lens implantation for high myopia, vitreoretinal surgery, etc. He has led the training of more than 1,700 primary health care workers in the province in blindness prevention and treatment techniques, trachoma flow survey, ophthalmology capacity survey, corneal donation, eye care and eye care popularization and education, etc. He has taken the lead in many ophthalmology blindness prevention efforts in China.

He has presided over 7 scientific research projects such as major special projects in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Fund, and provincial ministry; in 2013, he was ranked No. 1 in the second prize of provincial medical and health science and technology progress; in 2011, he was ranked No. 1 in one national new utility patent, and in 2017, he was ranked No. 1 in one U.S. invention patent and No. 2 in one national invention patent; he has edited and completed more than 50,000 words of "Vision and Eye Care"; and he has published nearly 1,000 academic papers such as SCI in professional core journals He has published nearly 40 academic papers on SCI and other journals. He is the supervisor of doctoral students and master students in several medical schools, and has trained 12 postgraduates. Now he is the deputy editor-in-chief of Zhejiang Journal of Clinical Medicine, the editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology (electronic version), Chinese Journal of Transplantation (electronic version), Zhejiang Medicine, Zhejiang Practical Medicine, etc.

From June 2011 to December 2018, he was the captain of the National Emergency Medical Rescue Team (Zhejiang) and the director of the National Nuclear Radiation Treatment Base (Zhejiang).
