In order to improve public awareness of the seriousness of heart attack and the importance of prevention and treatment, popularize the standardized treatment process of acute myocardial infarction, on the occasion of the sixth "China Heart Attack Rescue Day", our hospital came to Penggong Village, Banyao Town, on the morning of November 20 to hold a large-scale popularization lecture and first aid training activities, officially kicked off the 2019 "China 1120 Heart Attack Treatment Day" and our first aid knowledge popularization activities.

Ren Min, Director of Social Development Department of our hospital, said in the opening ceremony that in recent years, the incidence and mortality rate of coronary heart disease, especially acute myocardial infarction, has been increasing year by year, with nearly 700,000 cases of myocardial infarction occurring nationwide each year and showing a trend of rejuvenation, but only 35,000 cases have received timely and standardized treatment. China has designated November 20 every year as "1120 Heart Attack Treatment Day", in order to let everyone remember: when a heart attack occurs, call 120 emergency number in time; grasp the golden treatment time of 120 minutes and master the basic skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Since the establishment of our Chest Pain Center, it has greatly improved the level of medical services for acute heart attack treatment, effectively shortened the total time from onset to hospital and from hospital to receiving treatment, and significantly improved the efficiency of myocardial infarction treatment. On the basis of continuing to promote the construction of the chest pain center, the hospital will further increase health education about chest pain-related knowledge, spread the knowledge of cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment, and gradually improve the public's health protection against cardiovascular diseases.

At the activity site, medical staff patiently explained the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, let the public understand the hazards of heart attack and other diseases, and advocate a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Jin Hongfeng, deputy director of Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Du Changqing, deputy director of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Dr. Li Shaochong, head of course operation of Medical Simulation Center, gave lectures on "Rehabilitation after acute heart attack", "Call 120 for chest pain, Chest Pain Center will save your life" and "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation" respectively.

Myocardial infarction will occur as chest pain, chest tightness, difficulty in breathing, sweating, or there may be no symptoms at all. The most important thing is to open the blood vessels, and within 2 hours after the onset is the best time for treatment, commonly known as the "golden 120 minutes", and within 12 hours to open the blood vessels can still save a lot of heart muscle. Therefore, the occurrence of a heart attack to immediately call 120, the ambulance arrived at the scene to implement emergency treatment, as soon as possible to the hospital with the ability to receive professional treatment.

Just two days ago, 83-year-old Uncle Chen was rushed to our pectoralgia center because of "chest pain for 5 hours". He was diagnosed with acute inferior wall infarction by electrocardiogram, and doctors suggested that he should receive cardiac intervention immediately, otherwise he would be in danger. The pectoralgia center of our hospital operated on the patient urgently, and after 20 minutes, the occluded blood vessel was opened and Uncle Chen could be saved.

At the activity site, medical and nursing staff also brought cardiac resuscitation skills training to teach the correct knowledge and common sense of heart attack first aid to participants at the scene, minimizing the harm caused by the onset of acute myocardial infarction and jointly promoting the continuous improvement of heart attack treatment level.

In the next month, our hospital will continue to launch a big meal of first aid science knowledge, large scale charity clinic, community lectures, lectures on first aid knowledge and first aid skills training, hoping that we will learn first aid knowledge together, reduce the occurrence of danger and build a solid heart attack prevention and treatment front together.
