All these years, misunderstood rheumatoid arthritis

 Hits: 2920 Time: 2019-12-09

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic inflammatory autoimmune disease that involves mainly peripheral joints. It mainly manifests as chronic, symmetric, progressive polyarthritis, chronic inflammation of the synovial membrane, hyperplasia forming vascular opacities, and invasion of articular cartilage, bone and tendons. Rheumatoid arthritis has a high prevalence age of 40 to 60 years old, and the incidence of women is two to three times that of men. The onset of the disease can lead to joint destruction, joint deformity and loss of function in severe cases, and even the heart, respiratory system, and kidneys can be involved, even affecting people's daily work and life. However, such a serious disease is not well known among the general public, and is even repeatedly misunderstood, believing that joint pain is either rheumatic or rheumatoid.

For this reason, in December, when rheumatoid arthritis is at its peak, the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of our hospital is conducting a popular lecture to introduce rheumatoid arthritis, which has been misunderstood over the years. Please bring your medical records for consultation. We sincerely look forward to your coming!
