Prevention and control of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, you and I walk together

 Hits: 2905 Time: 2019-11-14

As the weather gets colder, respiratory diseases enter their high season, among which the most important thing to watch out for is the onset of slow obstructive pulmonary disease. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a chronic airway disease characterized by airflow restriction. If the disease deteriorates and is not controlled in time, it will develop into respiratory failure and pulmonary heart disease, thus losing the workforce. At present, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is the fourth deadliest disease in the world, and it is expected to rise to the third place by 2020. There are about 99.9 million patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in China, and the prevalence rate over 60 years old reaches 27.4%, that is, there is one patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in every four people on average. However, with early prevention and treatment, it is entirely possible for patients with slow-onset lung to effectively control their disease to slow down the pain caused by disease attacks.

In order to raise public awareness of COPD, the World Health Organization has designated the third Wednesday of November as World COPD Day. November 20, 2019 is the 18th World COPD Day, and the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Zhejiang Hospital will hold a large scale charity clinic and health education activities to prevent and control COPD together with you.
