The medical library is the documentation information centre of the hospital, is a professional and technical institution for medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and management services, is an important part of the hospital information technology. To establish the "people-oriented", "reader first, service first" purpose, improve the service system, carry out multi-level and multi-mode reader service work, improve the utilization rate of the library literature and information resources.



1. Purpose: The medical library is the documentation information centre of the hospital, a professional and technical institution serving for medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and management, and an important part of hospital informatization. To establish the purpose of "people-oriented", "readers first, service first", improve the service system, carry out multi-level and multi-mode reader services, and improve the utilization rate of the library's literature and information resources. 2.


2. Scope: All hospital staff (including medical staff, resident training staff, internship and training staff) are required to follow this system when using the relevant information services in the hospital library.

3. Authority and Responsibility.

3.1 To work under the leadership of the Head of the Department of Science and Education.

3.2 To be responsible for ordering and collecting medical books, journals and materials.

3.3 To be responsible for the management of the bookstore and to keep the bookstore and books clean, tidy and ventilated. To prevent books from mould, insects and fire.

3.4 Strictly implement the book management system, stay on duty, open the library on time, and carefully handle the book and journal borrowing procedures.

3.5 To provide reference consultation and information retrieval services for medical, teaching, scientific research and prevention work.

3.6 To be responsible for drawing up the by-laws of the Hospital's library and to implement them after approval by the leadership.

5. Contents of assignments.

5.1 General Rules for the Management of Library Work

5.1.1 All staff of the Hospital, resident training staff, internship and advanced training staff will be admitted to the Library with a book card or temporary library card, and no other staff will be admitted without permission.

5.1.2 Readers are not allowed to bring their bags into the library, and personal books and periodicals can only be brought in with the consent of the management.

5.1.3 The library must be kept quiet and clean. Smoking and spitting are strictly prohibited, as is eating and throwing fruit shells and confetti.

5.1.4 Care for books and periodicals, no writing, printing or defacing; tearing, cutting, digging and other undesirable acts are strictly prohibited.

5.2 Collection and use of library cards

5.2.1 Library cards are for personal use only. The library card must be kept in a safe place. If it is lost, you should come to our library immediately to register the loss. Otherwise, the original recipient will be responsible for any fraudulent use or accident.

5.2.2 Readers should return all the books and periodicals borrowed before leaving the library and return the library card before going through the procedure of leaving the library.

5.3 Borrowing of books and periodicals

5.3.1 The borrowing procedure is for the reader himself/herself only, family members and others cannot do it on his/her behalf.

5.3.2 The amount of books to be borrowed is five for professional books and five for Chinese and foreign periodicals; two for professional books and two for Chinese periodicals for internship and retraining staff.

5.3.3 The loan period is three months, and can be renewed once if required for work, but must come to the library for formalities. In case of special needs, the library has the right to call back the loan in time.

5.3.4 The current year's Chinese and foreign language periodicals, tools and reference books are only available in the reading room and are not available for loan.

5.3.5 Books and periodicals borrowed by readers should be kept in a safe place and any damage or loss will be dealt with according to the rules of compensation.

5.4 Compensation for books

5.4.1 Readers should take care of the books and journals they have borrowed and keep them in a safe place, and compensate for any damage or loss, etc. in accordance with the rules.

5.4.1.1 In case of defacement, writing, alteration or underlining, the reader will be fined 10% to 20% of the original price of the book, depending on the extent of the damage. The book remains the property of the library.

5.4.1.2 In case of loss, compensation shall be paid for the same edition of the book; if it is not possible to pay for the book, compensation shall be paid for general Chinese and foreign language books at the original price, and for important Chinese and foreign language books at two times the original price.

5.4.2 After compensation for lost books and journals, the original books and journals shall be returned to the Library and refunds may be made.

5.5 Library Library Management

5.5.1 Readers are required to present their library card to enter the library.

5.5.2 Patrons should not bring book bags or items harmful to books into the library.

5.5.3 When checking out books and periodicals, please take care of them and refrain from circling, tearing and hiding them.

5.5.4 Please return books and periodicals to their original place or to the reading table after reading. Please keep the library quiet and tidy.

5.5.5 Smoking is strictly prohibited in the library.
