The Mobile CT Early Screening Bus Comes to the Homes of Villagers! The Large-Scale Public Service Activity Is Held at Shuangkeng Village, Yuqian Town, Lin’an City

In order to improve the health quality for all and to realize common prosperity and “The Outlines for “Healthy China 2030” Program”, to build a “harmonious, healthy and warm” beautiful homeland and to jointly usher in the Party’s 20^th People’s Congress, led by Chen Jun, the Party Committee Deputy Secretary and President of Zhejiang Hospital, more than 40 medical staff from the 7^th and the 20^th Medical Technology Party Branch, the Chest Surgery Department, the Respiratory Medicine Department, the Ophthalmology Department, the Oncology Department, the Breast Surgery Department, the Urinary Surgery Department, the Radiology Department, the Neurointerventional Department and the Stomatology Department, etc of the Hospital came to Shuangkeng Village, Yuqian Town, Lin’an District of Hangzhou City on the morning of July 30 for early cancer screening, health consultation and popular science lectures and other activities by sending doctors to the countryside.

On the launching ceremony, Chen Jun introduced the development of Zhejiang Hospital over the recent several years, As the first stop of the tumor early screening activity of the Elderly Cancer Special Committee of Zhejiang Anti-Cancer Association (in preparation), this free clinic activity is of special significance, and Zhejiang Hospital has always had a very good reputation in the hearts of the people in Lin’an, and we all work together to solve some problems for the grassroots people in Lin’an District. In view of the problems of inconvenient transportation in western Zhejiang mountain village and the fact that it is not easy for the elderly to go out to see a doctor, we have specially arranged a mobile CT morning screening car to participate in this free clinic, so that people can complete the CT scan examination at home and enjoy the services of provincial hospital experts!”

This activity was strongly supported by Zhejiang Medical Association and Zhejiang Anti-Cancer Association. Meanwhile, Li Lianping, Deputy Secretary of Lin’an District Committee, Cheng Ke, Deputy Director of Lin’an District Committee Office, Lu Xujun, Deputy Director of the Health Bureau of Lin’an District Health Bureau, and Rao Weiguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Third People's Hospital of Lin’an District personally visited the free clinic,  visited the medical staff who participated in the free clinic under the high temperature, and talked with Chen Jun and some experts to exchange and outlook on the future medical cooperation between provinces and regions.

The scorching sun could not stop the benevolence of doctors from Zhejiang Hospital, and the scorching summer could not stop the enthusiasm of Shuangkeng villagers in seeking medical treatment. Past seven in the morning, the villagers had already orderly waited at the Cultural Auditorium of the village after detecting body temperatures and wearing masks, the experts from the Chest Surgery Department, the Respiratory Medicine Department, the Urinary Surgery Department, the Ophthalmology Department, the Stomatology Department,, the Oncology Department,the Neurointerventional Department, the Cardiovascular Department and the Radiology Department and the Medical Technology Department provided the onsite free clinical consultation services. The medical staff also brought the villagers free blood pressure and blood sugar testing, free cataract screening and free lung function testing. In addition, the expert team focused on the early screening and early treatment of lung and prostate cancer and prostate cancer for local high-risk groups, improve the survival rate of cancer patients, popularize health science knowledge, and improve the physical quality of the masses, and distributed more than 800 copies of health education materials.

The series of activities were unanimously recognized and praised by the local people, Wang Cheng, secretary of Shuangkeng Village Party Committee excitedly said, “On such a burning day, we are very grateful to Zhejiang Hospital for sending so many experts and examination items to the grass-roots level, and for providing free medical treatment for the villagers in the form of public welfare activities. We feel very excited! Through this activity of consultation and screening, the problems could be solved immediately, and those who need to be hospitalized could also directly reserve the outpatient service and inpatient beds with the experts of the third grade A hospital, effectively solving the problem of difficulty in seeing a doctor for the elderly in the left-behind village!”

Zhu Xinhai, Secretary of the Clinical 7^th Party Branch and Deputy Secretary of the Chest Surgery Department of the Hospital presided the onsite free clinic services, and Yu Jiandi, Director of the Urinary Surgery Department and Xu Yanhui, Physician from the Chest Surgery Department delivered two health lectures of “Early Screening of Prostate” and “Take You to Know about Pulmonary Nodules”.
